What we’re all about!

Thanks so much for visiting our site.  We are a juried collective of independent artists offering our work directly to the public on line.  When you place an order at Art and Soul, that order goes directly to the artist’s studio.  When the item is ready to be shipped, the artist is responsible for packing it and sending it to you. Each artist has direct control over what work they make available in their “booth”, as long as it meets the standard of work upon which they were juried.

As artists, we live a rainbow of lifestyles and in order to maintain our creative flow and be successful, we each must maintain business practices that are in harmony with our personal lifestyles.  Part of the beauty of Art and Soul is that it allows each artist the flexibility they need to be able to conduct business over the internet in a way that honors their own business and personal lifestyle needs.  Our shipping and return policies are simple and reflect that.

Shipping and Return Policy

The shipping and return policies will vary per artist and sometimes per item within an individual artist’s body of work.  Therefore, the shipping and return policy is clearly stated for each item and will be printed on your confirmation and invoice.  Though the artist is ultimately responsible to the buyer, if any artist does not adhere to their stated policies at the time of your order, please contact Art and Soul through the contact info on your confirmation email and we will be more than happy to intervene.  For now, we are not set up for international shipping.  You can contact an artist directly if you are outside of the USA.  

Sales Tax

As Art and Soul is based in NC we are subject to NC state tax laws.  Therefore, only items purchased from buyers with a NC billing address will be subject to the current NC sales tax at 6.75%.  It is the responsibility of the buyer to remit any other tax due in accordance with their own state laws.

Grand Opening and Raffle!!!

We are so excited to be up and running!  We opened our virtual doors the first week of June 2007 with six initial members.  Please bear with us over the next few months as we will be making a few improvements to the user friendliness (for both artist and buyer) and to the overall aesthetic appeal of the site.  When everything is running smoothly, we will have our grand opening and begin announcing the addition of new artists!  If you would like to be notified of our grand opening and be entered in our monthly raffles of new artists' work, enter your info below.  In the meantime, if you have any problems at all placing your order, please contact the artist directly for your purchase.  No worries.  To find out more go to join us.
